Posted: August 11, 2006
Dear Brothers,
I would like to congratulate you on becoming members of our order. Now that you are entitled to all of our rights and privileges, I would like to invite you to your first fellowship on October 6-8, 2006. You can learn about many things that are involved in the order, including dance, sing, and ceremonies to name a few. I encourage all of you to find out who your Chapter Officers are and become active members of your chapter, to better serve your community.
I also encourage all of you to further your understanding of our Order and in ten months advance to Brotherhood membership. Brotherhood seals your membership into our lodge and helps you fully understand our values and goals.
I hope to see you all at our activities and events.
Yours in WWW,

COI Trails
Posted: December 9, 2005
Have you ever wondered who built the hiking trails at
Camp Old Indian? It is people like you and me under the direction of Mr. Shelburne,
a forestry professor at Clemson University. You have an opportunity to help on January
14, 2006 when Atta Kulla Kulla Lodge will host a trail crew day at Camp Old Indian.
Plans are to continue work on the Old Indian Mountain trail. All you need to bring
with you is a lunch, water bottle, work gloves, and wear good pair of hiking shoes.
Dress appropriately for the weather!! It is, after all, January in the mountains.
Plan to arrive at the COI parking lot by 8:30 AM and we will work until 4 PM. You
must be physically fit since getting to the site involves a good hike. Because of
tool needs, we need to know how many will come so if you are interested, please
contact Ben Pochardt at Benpochardt@yahoo.com.
Likewise, in case of foul weather, we would like to know who you are so we can contact
you in case of postponement. Hope to see you there.
